State of the physical activity of students

Introduction. The physical activity is an important component of the healthier lifestyle. Systematically taken many beneficial effects which are having an influence among others on a respiratory system, have circulations, hormone, musculoskeletal and influences the psychological aspect. Aim. Examining of the level of physical activity of students living in the academic year 2013/2014 was a purpose of this work in halls of residence in Kielce. Material and methods. They conducted research in April 2014. They embraced with 132 of them of students, which in academic year 2013/2014 stayed in halls of residence in Kielce. Women comprised majority of examined persons, of which was 86.36%. During examinations a method of the diagnostic survey was applied, whereas an author’s questionnaire of the questionnaire form which was sent by the Internet to students was a research tool. A test was used Kruskala‑Wallisa and rho‑Spearmana correlation. Results. Examined respondents were in an age bracket from 19 up to 28 years. Almost a 55% (54.55%) according to the subjective evaluation regards respondents are persons actively physical. The most persons regard their physical activity as the average (41.67%), whereas fewest persons too very good (3.03%). Overwhelming majority of respondents, because 129 (97.73%) it declared in examinations, that knew the beneficial effect of the physical activity to the human body. The most respondents (44.44%) systematically undertakes running. Students of other subjects don’t differ in terms of selected aspects of the physical activity. Correlation analyses didn’t show essential statistically of connections of persons between the age examined but with the evaluation of the physical activity, with role a physical activity is performing which in the life examined. Conclusions. 1. The age of respondents isn’t having an influence on an average temporary dimension of the disposable physical activity. 2. Students of other subjects don’t differ in terms of their evaluation of the physical activity. 3. Students know the beneficial effect of the physical activity to the human body.
